hansmoleman: Yeah, that. There's some really good stuff on DA that you can get lost in starting from those images and following the related links.
Demosthenes: Other than being a group of cheerleaders not really. Fernando can confirm, but I suspect the first few Cheerleaders comics were heavily based on Semiater's story - http://www.bdsmlibrary.com/stories/whol ... oryid=3160 - until Fernando took it in his own (and amazing) direction.

Re: Fernando
Thank you so much for posting that last bit of information about the story on which Fernando very likely based the Cheerleaders series. I glanced over the beginning of the story by Semiater and I'll read the rest later, but this has to be where Fernando got the idea for his comic. No doubt about it. The similarities are too close to be coincidence. Some of the lines of dialog are even the same, word for word. Makes for interesting reading for fans of the Cheerleaders series, which I am.Cossack wrote:hansmoleman: Yeah, that. And hey, I found something else out thanks to you! There was something about the first issue of Cheerleaders that had puzzled me until now. On the first page of Cheerleaders 1, the gas station that Bob owns is shown but the name over the top reads PAT'S. I had always wondered, who is Pat? I assumed that it was a mistake on Fernando's part, as a later issue in the series (Cheerleaders 4) showed the same sign with the named changed to BOB'S, but now I know. In Semiater's version of the story, the gas station attendant was originally named Pat.

I think most of the old-timers in the forum know (or maybe not?) that most of my early work was written by Nuria. It was only years later I found out where the beginning of Cheerleaders came from (as well as the beginning of Confiscated Twins 1).Cossack wrote:hansmoleman: Yeah, that. Thanks Cossack! I'll post some previews as soon as they're worthy of viewing... and yes, @Demosthenes, this confirms I'm working on Cheerleaders 9.Cossack wrote:Fernando, I know you probably have plenty of ideas already but for a bit of inspiration (and to sate some of the other folks waiting for the next Cheerleader adventure) I thought I'd share this little series from DA:

@hansmoleman -- I used to do the wider ball gags but over the years my sense of aesthetics would always lead me to prioritize "beauty" over "pain" -- which basically means I usually have a threshold that I don't often cross where a pose, a facial expression, or the use of props should not make the woman look bad. In my actual work, this usually translates to me preferring poses where legs are extended rather than bended (not always, but usually), because I'm basically a leg-man. For the face, I usually don't like a lot of deformity, which the larger ball and ring gags tend to make. I actually don't like large nose-rings as well (surprise!) but keep it in Cheerleaders for the sake of the fans who love it.

Re: Fernando
I take it that would be Semiater as well? I was looking over his works to see if any of the storylines sounded close to Confiscated Twins. I thought maybe this one:fernando wrote:I think most of the old-timers in the forum know (or maybe not?) that most of my early work was written by Nuria. Awesome! Let's be clear here, the bar for worthy of viewing is really really low from our sidefernando wrote:Thanks Cossack! I'll post some previews as soon as they're worthy of viewing... and yes, @Demosthenes, this confirms I'm working on Cheerleaders 9.

Yup. Nuria borrowed stories from other authors quite a bit. That was actually how Merrick found her (the early Fansadox stories looked very familiar to him). Speaking of whom, has anyone been in contact with him at all recently? Fernando? Ernestgreene? Roberts? Bego?fernando wrote:I think most of the old-timers in the forum know (or maybe not?) that most of my early work was written by Nuria.
