How to be an Fansadox artist?

Post by Jackrabb84 »

I want to be a Fansadox artist one day. I am actually trying to do a comic but its gonna take at least one, maybe 2 years i think. There are ads - artist searched But there doesnt seem to be any workable e-mails for contact because when i click on them no e-mail is shown and nothing happens. I am emotionally devastated. Ok maybe thats a bit dramatic

You clearly have talent as an artist. My only advice if you are looking to move to comic artwork would be to tighten up your inking/line work, look at refining your colouring to perhaps a more cell shaded style rather than the watercolour/painterly style (whether you will colour yourself or work with a colourist) and practice with panel composition as comics are rarely told in single page illustrations.

These are just suggestions based on observations and work in this field. Ultimately, the attractiveness of your art will always speak to an audience, regardless of any refinement. There is a commercial side to this material which means that the more popular/wider appealing your art will be, the more successful you will become.

Best of luck

you could contact Dofan editor with:

is there a more convenient way to see your work? I'm not too fond of Deivanart.
I have my Deivanart account closed and do not wish to sign up for another one.

Thank you very much, these are exactly the same conclusions i have come to regarding linework and colouring- as i have a full time job it will be very timely to come up with something, a i wrote i would estimate 1-2 years if i can manage. We´l see, that´s the plan at least as i am clearly only at the beginning.

Thank you, i did that. We´ll see -maybe i´m not enough yet, i would be perfectly fine with that as a lot of things take time. The problem with devianart has been bothering me for along time. I have simply not found a website to store and publish material of this kind.
